Beyond the gate, in a world of its own, lies our little kennel - a refuge for unwanted Jack Russell Terriers that come from shelters or homes where they are no longer welcome. It is a place of peace and understanding, offering the opportunity to heal from the traumas imposed on them simply for being what they are.

The following dogs are not housed at the Refuge but are posted as a courtesy to their owners/foster homes. If you are interested in the possible adoption of one of these terriers, please complete an on-line adoption application. Do not be shy about adding additional comments. It will help us to get to know you better. Our goal is to place terriers in happy, forever homes where the adopting party and dogs are both winners. Thank you for considering a Jack Russell Terrier! We also have terriers that are housed at the Refuge that are available for adoption.

If you are interested in adopting a Russell Refuge Terrier, you MUST complete an adoption application.   No exceptions!   Terriers in Rescue are in great need of proper JR homes and while they may need a little special handling, adopting a terrier in need can be much more rewarding than starting with a new puppy.

Even if you can not adopt one of our Russell Refuge terriers, you can help with a donation for Russell Refuge in whatever amount you can afford.   Rescue donations are used for temporary housing, spaying/neutering, veterinarian treatments, food, water, etc.

You many use our Contact Form if you have any questions about our available terriers.

Maybe tomorrow will bring some good homes for these rescues.   Maybe tomorrow more people will realize that spaying and neutering their dogs will prevent so many unwanted animals.   Maybe...
